FORT MEADE - Mr. David Wooten, Sr., 79, passed away Wed., February 20, 2013 in Bartow. Mr. Wooten was born on August 25, 1933 in Broxton, Georgia and moved to Fort Meade from Coffee County, Georgia in 1955. He was a butcher for Kaplan Industries and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Wooten was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his sons, David Wooten, Jr. and wife Tammy, Jim Wooten and wife Debra, Travis Bagley and Chip Bagley, all of Fort Meade, FL; daughter, Teresa Ann Wooten Bruce and husband Steve, Oakley, MI; brother, Bud Wooten, Nichols, FL; sisters, Addie Mae King, Valdosta, GA, Iona Kirkendahl, Augusta, GA, Mary Ellen Hulett and Irene Patrick, both of Milan,GA; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 4:00pm-6:00pm, Friday, February 22, 2013 at the Hancock Funeral Home Chapel, Fort Meade. Interment will be in Rocky Creek Cemetery, Broxton, GA.
