FORT MEADE - Mrs. Betty Lou Cannon Pearce, 76, passed away April 28, 2016 at her home in Franklin County, NC due to complications from Alzheimer's Disease. She was born March 6, 1940 in Pine Mount, FL and was a homemaker and former longtime resident of Fort Meade, where she was a graduate of Fort Meade High School Class of 1959 and attended the Cornerstone Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Andrew Jackson (AJ) Cannon and Nollie Sapp Cannon; son, T. Brooks Pearce II, brother Bobbie Gene Cannon, and brother-in-law Fred Wright.
Mrs. Pearce is survived by her husband Tony B. Pearce; daughter Gwendolynn Pearce Parrish; grandchildren Kaitlynn McGuyrt (Clint), Scott Brooks Pearce-Schieber, Elizabeth Parrish, Alexandria Parrish and Cannon Parrish, adopted granddaughter Suzanna Lee all of Zebulon, NC; sister, Donna C. Adams (Alvin), Fort Meade, FL; sisters-in-law, Grace Cannon and Faye Wright.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday May 5th, 2016 in Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Meade with the Rev. Randall Belcher officiating. Visitation will follow the service at the cemetery and friends may visit later during the day at the home of Alvin and Donna Adams, 249 N. Church St., Fort Meade. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
