Hazel L. Nicholson

BOWLING GREEN - Mrs. Hazel L. Nicholson, 77, passed away at her home on Saturday, February 15, 2014. Mrs. Nicholson was born in Nocatee, FL on Dec. 17, 1936 and moved to Bowling Green from Fort Myers, FL 55 years ago. She was the owner and operator of Hazel's Flowers and Gift Shop in Bowling Green for over 40 years. Mrs. Nicholson attended North Fort Myers High School and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Nicholson and brothers, Solon Hingson, Earl Hingson and Elbert Hingson. Mrs. Nicholson is survived by her son, Rickey N. Nicholson and wife Adelina, Bowling Green, FL; daughter, Tammy N. Pearson and husband Conrad, Bowling Green, FL; brothers, Eugene Hingson, Moorehaven, FL, Wilburn Hingson and William Hingson, both of North Fort Myers, FL; sister, Margaret Raulerson, North Fort Myers, FL; grandchildren, Genise Altman, Nicole Crews, Holly Pridgen, and Kaitlin Pridgen; great-grandchildren, Lucas Altman, Mikey Crews, Colton Crews, Presley Gilliard, A.J. Naronjo and Jasper Altman. Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014 at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 East Broadway, Fort Meade, FL.
