Mrs. Mary Mildred Watson Wood

Mrs. Mary Mildred Watson Wood, 94, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2016 in Lake Placid, FL. Mrs. Wood was born August 18, 1921 in Chicora, FL and moved to Lake Placid from Fort Meade in 1965. She was a home maker, member of Leisure Lakes Baptist Church of Lake Placid, and a 1939 graduate of Brewster High School.
Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her parents, James David Allen and Sindrella Albritton Allen; husbands, James S. Watson, Jr. and Edward Wood; son, Rocky Allen Watson.
She is survived by her son, James S. Watson and wife Eve, Linden, TN; daughter, Sylvia W. Lanfair and husband Billy, Lake Placid, FL; eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Leisure Lakes Baptist Church, 808 Gardenia St., Lake Placid, FL 33852.
