FORT MEADE - Stephen Dwayne Daughtrey, 60, passed away Monday, October 16, 2017 at his home in Fort Meade. Stephen was born March 18, 1957 in Bartow, FL and was a lifelong resident of Fort Meade. He attended the Marion Lee Training Center in Lakeland, FL, and was an active member of First Baptist Church of Fort Meade where he was a member of the Joy Club outreach ministry. Stephen loved many activities which include football and horseback riding. His mother, Phyllis, taught him to paint, and he enjoyed spending time with his artwork, and he also enjoyed bowling, as he was a member of the Sunshine Kids Bowling League.

Stephen was preceded in death by his father, Carl L. Daughtrey, Sr., and mother, Phyllis C. Daughtrey.

He is survived by his brother, Carl L. Daughtrey, Jr. and wife Debbie, Fort Meade, FL; nephew, Brian Daughtrey, Garland, TX; niece, Carla Daughtrey, Fort Meade, FL; great-niece, Celeste Chambliss, Astatula, FL; uncle and aunts, John and Cindy Clark, Port Charlotte, FL, Doris Hargis, Englewood, FL, Esther Dolan, DeFuniak Springs, FL; and many cousins.

Visitiation will be held 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 21, 2017 at First Baptist Church, 307 E. Broadway, Fort Meade. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the church sanctuary with Mike Woods officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Meade.
