Ms. Anna Sue Owen

FORT MEADE - Anna Sue Owen, 76, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023 in Auburndale, FL. Anna was born July 11, 1946 in Millwood, GA and has been a resident of Fort Meade for many years. She was a beautician, day care provider, assisted in managing the Fort Meade American Legion Campground, and was a member of the Fort Meade VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Doris Johns Herrin, and her companion, Freddie Mooney.

She is survived by her sons, John Davis and wife Sherri, Fort Meade, FL, and Jimmy Davis, Pearson, GA; sister, Martha Crews and husband Richard, Fort Meade, FL; nieces, Beth Hunt and Ellie Dauphas; grandchildren, Shane Davis, Trevor Davis, Sydney Davis; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2023 at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 E. Broadway, Fort Meade, FL. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tim Johns officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Meade.
