Burnell M. Lamb

FORT MEADE - Mrs. Burnell M. Lamb, 82, passed away Sun., Feb. 28, 2010 in Lake Wales, FL of heart failure. Mrs. Lamb was born March 15, 1927 in Dothan, AL and moved to Fort Meade from Dothan in 1955. Mrs. Lamb was a homemaker, and member of Lake Buffum Baptist Church, Fort Meade. She was a former member of First Baptist Church, Fort Meade where she was a longtime Sunday School teacher and volunteer with many church and youth programs. She was very active with her children and their friends providing home cooked meals, making cheerleading outfits and prom dresses and being very active in each of their lives as a school volunteer. Mrs. Lamb was also the organizer of many church bar-b-que's held at their family ranch. Mrs. Lamb was preceded in death by her parents, William J. and Bonnie R. McDaniel and her husband, Guy (Buster) Lamb. She is survived by her son, L. Garry Lamb and wife Toni, South Carolina; daughters, Cathy Montero and husband Mark, Lake Wales, FL and Michelle Lopez and husband Eddie, Lakeland, FL; sister, Doris Moulton, Sun City Center, FL; grandchildren, Felicia Scott, Ericka Morgan, Shelton Lamb, Danielle Montero, Brian Montero, Caytie Montero, Erin Montero and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Wed., March 3, 2010 at Hancock Funeral Home, Fort Meade. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thurs., Mar 4, 2010 at Lake Buffum Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Slay officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Buffum Baptist Church Cemetery.
