Carmen Cruz-Vega

FORT MEADE - Carmen Cruz-Vega, 89, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019 in Bartow, FL. Carmen was born on August 15, 1930 in Hatillo, Puerto Rico and has been a resident of Fort Meade for several years. She was a retired Seamstress at Hatillo Aparet in Puerto Rico, and a member of the Charasmatic Church Pentecostal in Puerto Rico. Along with being a loving mother, grandmother, great-great grandmother, and a great-great-grandmother, Carmen was a dedicated christian lady and carried her faith in God, and with the church, as a missionary many times to various countries in Central America.

Carmen was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio Cruz and Antonia Vega.

She is survived by her children, Iris Esther Soto Cruz and husband Moises Cassarubia, Fort Meade, FL, son, Edwin Soto Cruz, Bridgeport, CT; brother, Cheo Cruz; sisters, Ana M. Cruz-Vega and Estaranza Cruz-Vega, both of Puerto Rico; six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

All funeral services will be held in Puerto Rico, and interment will be in the Old Hatillio Cemetery, Hatillio, Puerto Rico.
