LAKELAND - Miss Carol Elizabeth Harmon, 76, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019 in Bartow, FL. Carol was born November 4, 1943 in Tampa, FL, and had been a resident of Lakeland for many years. She worked in the retail office supply business for nearly 20 years, and also served as church secretary to the Whitfield Baptist Church in Pensacola, FL. As a very active member of the church,Carol was also a longtime choir member, and she loved working in the children's nursery when she was needed. Carpol was a member of the 1961 graduating class of Pensacola High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd M. and Inez Armstrong Harmon; maternal grandparents, Walter and Orene Armstrong; paternal grandparents; paternal grandparents, Sely and Addie Harmon.
Carol is survived by her counsin and next of kin, Linda Gilliard, of Lakeland, FL; three great nieces; and a host of other cousins and friends.
Memorial services will be private. Donations may be made in Carol's memory to one's charity or organization of choice.
