RUSKIN -CATHERINE DENISE AKINS, 63, passed away Monday, August 6, 2018 in Charlotte County, FL. Cathy was born February 3, 1955 in Landau, Germany and was a resident of Fort Meade, FL, where she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Meade, and a member of the 1973 graduating class of Fort Meade High School. She went on to receive her LPN education from Polk State College, and worked many years as a phlebotomist, Cathy resided in Lakeland for several years and currently lived in Ruskin with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charels E. Akins and Lula Belle C. Akins., and her brother-in-law, Harold Ringdahl.
Cathy is survived by her sister, Betty Ringdahl; brothers, Charels E. Akins, Jr., and wife Lisette, and Mike Akins, and wife Nancy, and her special fur baby Ozzie.
Private family services will be held.
