Dr. Philip F. Crews, D.C.

ALTURAS - Dr. Philip F. Crews, D.C., 82, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2018 at his home in Alturas, FL. Dr. Crews was born in Zolfo Springs, FL on February 23, 1936 and moved to Alturas from Bartow, FL in 1970. He was a retired Chiropractor in Bartow after 42 years of dedicated service to his community, and as he was a man who did not stand idle, he also spent 20 years as a cattle rancher and citrus grower. In addition to his daily work on his ranch, Dr. Crews continued to give of himself to many community and civic organizations. He was President of the Bartow Optimist Club, President of Polk County Chiropractic Society, Past Master Tuscan Lodge #6, and of the protestant faith.

Dr. Crews was preceded in death by his parents, Chester A. and Bonnie Whidden Crews.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Kay Crews; daughter, Denise Haag and husband Dr. Roger Haag, D.C.; grandchildren, Jennifer Porro and husband Anthony Porro, and Katie Holland and husband Matt Holland; great-grandchildren, H.J. Porro and Brady Porro.
