FORT MEADE - Mr. Edward T. "Ed" Brink, 67, passed away Monday, August 1, 2022 in Bartow, FL. Ed was born on August 24, 1954 in Middletown, NY and moved to Fort Meade in 1990 from Miami, FL. He was a licensed building contractor and project manager before moving to Fort Meade, and after marrying his wife Sandra Green, he joined she and her brother Bob Green in opening B&E Automotive in Fort Meade. Ed was of the Baptist faith, a NASCAR fan extraordinaire, and for many years Ed made a grand statement on Friday night's at the Fort Meade Miner's home football games, as he fired the canon when Fort Meade scored. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Henry Brink and Shirley Marie Brink; wife, Sandra Green Brink; brother-in-law, Bob Green; nephew, Wayne Parrish. He is survived by his step-brother, Mike Brink and wife Vivian, Sebastian, FL; cousin, Sandy Brink, Fort Pierce, FL; brothers-in-law, Ronald Green and wife Shawna, Fort Meade, FL, James H. Green, Tallahassee, FL; sister-in-law, Sue Parrish and husband Ernie, Fort Meade, FL; nieces, Natalie Marino, Tallahassee, FL and Kristen Villafranca, Fort Meade, FL; nephews, Bryan Green, Tallahassee, FL and Richard Green, Fort Meade, FL. A combined memorial service will be held for Ed and and his wife, Sandra Green Brink, on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 945 E. Broadway, Fort Meade, FL.
