Esther Ruth Russ Fletcher

FORT MEADE - Esther Ruth Russ Fletcher, 75, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2020 in Sarasota, FL. Ruth was born August 14, 1944 in Fort Meade, FL where she lived most of her life. She was a retired school bus driver for the Polk County School Board, a 1962 graduate of Fort Meade High School, and of the Baptist faith. Ruth loved giving to other people and helping whom ever she could. In her extra time she worked with, and the chairperson for Fort Meade's "Fellowship Dining," which helped take many means to shut-ins and those in need of care.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Andrea A. Korobka; brothers, Wesley C. Russ, Leesburg, FL and David Russ, Fort Meade, FL; sisters, Carol Rhoden, Bartow, FL, and Barbara Orpurta, Sebring, FL; grand-daughter, Jessica A. Gutermuth; great-grandchildren, Andrew C. Phillips, Joshua A. Ledbetter

The family has chosen to postpone memorial services for a few weeks. Services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make donations to their favorite charity.
