LAKE WALES - George Emery Hillis, 61, passed away Monday, March 2, 2020 in Lake Wales, FL. Emery was born December 8, 1958 in Grand Junction, CO and moved to Lake Wales from Fort Meade 8 years ago. He was a welder for Florida Natural Citrus in Lakeland Wales and of the Baptist faith.
Emery was preceded in death by his parents, George Robert Hillis and Gladean Manley Hillis; and his sister, Connie O’Neal.
He is survived by his son, Timothy Emery Hillis, Lake Wales Estates, FL; brothers, Dale Lee Hillis and wife Kim, Lake Wales, FL and Steve Davis and wife Stacie, Bartow, FL.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 14th, 2020 at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 E. Broadway, Fort Meade. Services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m.
