Jack R. "Red" Reeves

FORT MEADE - Mr. Jack Ronald "Red" Reeves, passed away at his home with his family on Monday, June 30, 2014. Red was born April 10, 1933 in Alturas, FL and moved to Fort Meade from Sarasota, FL in 1944. He was retired from the U.S. Army and also the City of Fort Meade. Red was a U.S. Army Veteran, member of Fort Meade American Legion Post #23, Fort Meade, and a very active member of the First United Methodist Church of Fort Meade where he served as the former youth leader. Red was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ada Ballard Reeves; brother, Oliver Reeves; sister, Brenda Brady. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Katheryn "Kitty" Lightsey Reeves, Fort Meade, FL; sons, Richard W. Reeves and Keith R. Reeves, both of Fort Meade, FL; daughter, Linda Kersey, Fort Meade, FL; sister, Virginia Riley, Milton, FL; eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 5, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church, Fort Meade. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
