James B. Baker

LAKELAND - Mr. James Robert Baker, 77, passed away July 19, 2011 at Tampa General Hospital. Mr. Baker was born in Allegheny, New York on January 16, 1934 and moved to Lakeland from Allegeny in 1986. He was an auto body repairman along with being a general mechanic, and he attended the Living Hope Community Church, Lakeland. Mr. Baker is survived by his wife, JoAnn Smith Baker, Fort Meade, FL; sons, Steven Baker, Lakeland, FL, C.J. Baker, Winter Haven, FL; step-sons, Tony Waldee and Bruce Waldee, both of Fort Myers, FL; daughter, Beverly Baker, Eldred, PA; sister, Jean Myers, Lakeland, FL; Seven Grandchildren, Seven Great-Grandchildren and Four Step-Grandchildren. Visitation will be held 6:00pm-8:00pm, Thurs., July 21, 2011 at Hancock Funeral Home, Fort Meade, FL. Interment will be held in Grimes Cemetery, Smithport, Pennsylvania.
