Jessica Macedo

FORT MEADE -  Jessica Macedo, 23, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  Jessica was born July 31, 1991 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and was a lifelong resident of Fort Meade.  She was a Licensed Practical Nurse, and attended Polk State College working toward her Registered Nurse degree.  Jessica attended Fort Meade school and graduated from the University of South Florida.      She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ruben Valesquez and Clara Cabrera. She is survived by her son, Jordan Cortez, Bartow, FL; daughter, Aaliyah Yazmin Jaimes, Bartow, FL; father and mother, Guillermo Macedo Avellaneda and Orfanelia Macedo Velasquez, Fort Meade, FL; paternal grandparents, Bonifacio Macedo and Ma Del Carmen Avellaneda;  brother, Isaac Macedo, Fort Meade, FL; sisters, Cynthia Macedo, Winter Haven, FL and Clara Macedo, Fort Meade, FL; several aunts and uncles.     Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Monday, September 29, 2014 at the Macedo home in Fort Meade.  Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 East Broadway, Fort Meade.    Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Meade.       Hancock Funeral Home, Fort Meade, FL  863-285-8171
