FORT MEADE - Mr. John Alex Smith, 59, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at his home in Fort Meade, FL. Mr. Smith was born September 8, 1960 in California, and has been a longtime resident of Fort Meade. He was a commercial truck driver, a U.S. Army veteran, and a graduate of Fort Meade High School, Class of 1978.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Dempsey Smith and Juanita Beldon Smith, and his sister, Robin Irene Smith.
Mr. Smith is survived by his sons, Alex Smith, Hampton, TN, and Ben Smith, Fort Meade, FL; daughter, Jennifer Smith, Winter Haven, FL; brother, Rusty Smith, Mulberry, FL; grandchildren, Shawn, Holly, McKenzie, Dixie, Ivan, and Daunte.
Private family services will be held.
