FORT MEADE - Mr. Judson "Jud" Martin Hancock, 77, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021 in Sun City Center, FL. Jud was born October 2, 1943 in Fort Meade, FL, where he remained a life long resident. He was a 1961 graduate of Fort Meade High School, and then went on to retire from the Florida National Guard after serving over 20 years of service. Following his National Guard retirement, he began working with Swift & Co. and later Estech, where he gained his retirement from the phosphate industry. Jud also was co-founder of Stripe-It-Rite that mark many of the highway lines throughout the state, and he was of the Baptist faith.

Jud was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Martin Hancock and Marie Doke Hancock. He is survived by his brother, James A. Hancock, Fort Meade, FL; nieces, Hope and Madison; nephews, Richard, Richie, and Chris.
