Julia Watson Blount

CRAWFORDVILLE, FL - Mrs. Julia Watson Blount, 83, passed away at her home in Crawfordville, FL on Saturday, September 13, 2014.  Mrs. Blount was born January 6, 1931 in Tiger Bay, FL  and moved to Crawfordville from Marianna, FL in 1997.  She was a retired house mother for the State of Florida, a member of the First Baptist Church, Fort Meade, FL, member of the Order of Eastern Star, and a graduate of Fort Meade High School.         Mrs. Blount was preceded in death by her parents, Shade Henry Watson and Mary Vashtie Durrance Watson; brother, Dexter Myles Watson; sister, Martha Ann Durrance Smith. nephew, John Dexter Watson.       She is survived by her sons, Calvin Myles Prine, Arcadia, FL, Vernon Lyles Prine and wife Chandra, Crawfordville, FL; Step-son, Charles Lester Smith and wife Sharon, Jasper, FL, Step-daughter, Marie Willis McCormick and husband James, Marianna, FL; niece, DeRida Durrance McMillan, Sneads, FL; nephew, John Dexter Watson;  grandchildren, Amy Mills and husband David, Arcadia, FL, Eli Prine and wife Shanna, Port St. Joe, FL, Stephanie Robison and husband Corey, Crawfordville, FL, and Erica Milam and husband Brian, Crawfordville, FL; great-grandchildren, Colton, Faith, Brianna, Jakob, Landen, Micha and Caleb.       Visitation will be held 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Hancock Funeral Home Home, 945 East Broadway, Fort Meade, FL.   Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Watson Cemetery, Fort Meade with Pastor Eli Prine officiating.        Hancock Funeral Home, Fort Meade, FL
