Mr. Kenneth M. Kelly

Fort Meade - Mr. Kenneth Marvin Kelly, 83, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2019. Mr. Kelly was born June 11, 1936 in Andrews, North Carolina, and has been nearly a lifelong resident of Fort Meade. He was a heavy equipment operator for U.S. Agrico and IMC Fertilizer, and also a truck driver for The Wickie Co. of Fort Meade. Mr. Kelly attended Fort Meade schools and actively played baseball with the Fort Meade baseball program throughout the 1950's. He was a founding member of Peace River Church of God, Fort Meade, and donated the land on which the church was built. Later this church became the now New Beginning Church of God, and Mr. Kelly remained active in every aspect of the church that he could. He was a very devoted church member, father, and grandfather and loved spending time with his family and his many friends.

Mr. Kelly was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Grady Kelly and Edna Mae Kelly; several brothers and sisters; and wives, Benny Meeks and Mary Kelly.

He is survived by his daughters, Dee Dee Kelly Chiavuzzi and husband Michael, Bartow, FL, Ruthie Kelly, Fort Meade, FL; step-sons, Wesley Taylor and Michael Taylor, both of Fort Meade, FL; brother and sisters, Clyde Kelly, Ona Mae Miller, and Betty Dulaney, all of Mississippi; grandchildren, Natasha Chiavuzzi, Kenneth James Kelly, Kylie Chiavuzzi, Jonathan Droz, Augie Chiavuzzi, Destiny Chiavuzzi, Tristan Taylor, Tierney Taylor Reid, Gracie Taylor and Davin Taylor; and his comfort companion English Bull Dog, Tank.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 E. Broadway, Fort Meade. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 19, 2019 at the New Beginning Church of God, 3920 Hwy. 98, East, Fort Meade with Pastor Larry Barrentine officiating.
