BARTOW - Mrs. Maria Ramirez, 77, passed away at her home in Bartow, FL on Thursday, September 19, 2019. Mrs. Ramirez was born September 3, 1942 in San Felipe, Guanajuato, Mexico and has been a resident of Bartow for the last 21 years and previously was a longtime resident of Fort Meade. She loved taking care of her family as a homemaker, and spent many hours working alongside her husband outside the home, and she was also of the Catholic faith.
Mrs. Ramirez was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Luz Carranza and Tomasa Meza Carranza, and her brother, Ambracio Carranza.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jose Ramirez, Sr.; son, Jose Ramirez, Jr. and wife Anjelica; daughter, Luz Maria Briones and husband Armando, all of Bartow, FL; brother, Guadalupe Carranza, Fort Meade, FL; sister, Juana Carranza-Meza, Mexico; and eight grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 23, 2019 at The Mission of Guadalupe church, 1558-2044 Bomber Road, Winter Haven, FL 33880.
