Marian M. Geiger

July 21, 1940 — December 23, 2015

FORT MEADE - Marian M. Geiger, 74, was born July 21, 1940 in Carbon County, PA and passed away December 23, 2015 at her home in Fort Meade.

She is survived by her son, Scott Geiger, his wife Gail, and grandsons, Everett and Cameron, all of Caledonia, NY. Marian was a well-known, lead musician in The Memory Makers of the Pocono Mountains, and she was accomplished in both accordion and keyboard. She recorded many albums, wrote much of her own music, and played with poplular bands including Walt Groller, Adam Bartholl and Jimmy Sturr. Along with Marian's many awards, she was also honored to be named to the Music Hall of Fame. She traveled across the United States and Germany sharing her music and in recent years, she was featured as a regular musician at the International Market World Flea Market in Auburndale, FL and will be missed by all of her dancers and fans there. She was a resident of Oakview Lakes Senior 55+ Community since 2008 and a member of First United Methodist Church of Fort Meade.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at the First United Methodist Church of Fort Meade, 135 E. Broadway with Rev. Marion Sortore officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Fort Meade.
