Mrs. Mary Jo Crawford Underwood

MULBERRY – Mrs. Mary Jo Crawford Underwood, 89, passed away Friday, August 3, 2018 at Lakeland Regional Health in Lakeland, FL. Mrs. Underwood was born August 26, 1928 in Lakeland, FL and was a resident of Mulberry for many years. She was retired from the Polk County School Board as a school bus driver for over 30 years, and was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Mulberry.

Mrs. Underwood was preceded in death by her husband Ira Crawford, son, Randall Ira Crawford, and her brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Retha Crawford Martin and husband Terry; son, Ronald Crawford, all of Bowling Green, FL; daughter-in-law, Joy Crawford, Thomson, GA; grandchildren, Michelle Crawford Broxton, Hope Crawford Thigpen, Ric Crawford; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.., Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 E. Broadway, Fort Meade. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, August 9, 2018 from the Paynes Creek Primitive Baptist Church with interment following in the Paynes Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
