Mr. Melvin Prine

FORT MEADE- Mr. Melvin Prine, 83, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019. Mr. Prine was born September 13, 1935 and was a native and lifelong resident of Fort Meade. He was a heavy equipment operator, working for Phillips & Jordan, Inc., American Cynamid, Kimmins Construction, and he attended the Paynes Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Bowling Green, FL.

Mr. Prine was preceded in death by his parents, James Hiram and Reina Taylor Prine; brothers, Herman Prine, John Vernon Prine, and Marion Prine; sister, Hazel Prine Swirzenski.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Peters Prine, Fort Meade, FL; son, Chuck Prine and wife Charlotte, Fort Meade, FL along with their family; daughter, Barbara Jean Prine, Miami, FL, and her family; brother, James Prine, Wauchula, FL; sister, Helen Creech, Bartow, FL; grandchildren, Tyna Mendoza and Gency Dunbar; two great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside services will be held Friday, February 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. from the graveside
