Rosie Skipper King

ALTURAS - Mrs. Rosie Skipper King, 85, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Winter Haven Hospital. Mrs. King was born on June 3, 1927 in Alturas where she was a longtime resident. She was a retail sales and service representative, a member of Lake Garfield Baptist Church, and attended Bartow High School and the Sharon Williams Business College. Mrs. King was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Rufus A. Skipper and Vera M. Skipper, husband, Bill King, and sister, Nina Skipper Fralic. She is survived by her sons, Ray E. King, Alturas, FL, Albert D. King, Jacksonville, FL, Joe R. King, Winter Haven, FL; daughter, Geraldine Deal, Oak Harbor, OH; brothers, Verdon Skipper, Bordentown, NJ, Norman Skipper and Leroy Skipper, both of Fort Meade, FL; nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 10:00am-11:00am, Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Hancock Funeral Home, Fort Meade. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel with Rev.
