FORT MEADE - Mr. Thomas W. Brown, 74, passed away Monday, October 3, 2016 in Sebring, FL. Mr. Brown was born December 21, 1942 in Santa Claus Town, GA and has been a resident of Fort Meade for many years. He was a retired instrument technician for Farmland Industries, a U.S. Army veteran, and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Brown loved to spend time with his family, and when he was not with his family, he could be found on the water fishing.

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his father and mother, Robert Eddie Brown and Essie Mae Cooper Brown; step-mother, Jessie Mae Brown; step-father, William Powell; brother, Robert Lee Brown.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Fay Brown, Fort Meade, FL; son, Robert W. Brown and wife Melissa, Huntsville, AL; daughter, Chris Lynch and husband Scott, Fort Meade, FL; six grandchildren, Kate Lynch, Jessica Brown, Zak Lynch, Robert T. Brown, Madison Brown, Makenzie Brown; one great-grandchild, Blakely Motus.

A Memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m., Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 E. Broadway, Fort Meade with Rev. Tom Heath officiating. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make contributions to Good Shepherd Hospice, 1110 Hammock Rd, Sebring, FL 33870.
