Mr. Timon Floyd Gibson

BARTOW - Mr. Timon Floyd Gibson, 76, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2019 in Titusville, FL. Mr. Gibson was born November 19, 1942 in Haversham, TN and moved to Bartow several years ago from Fort Meade. He worked 28 years for Swift & Co. and Estech Chemical Co. as a dragline operator, and was also the former manager of Cedar Trails Landfill. Mr. Gibson was of the Assembly of God faith and loved being outdoors and enjoying the many things nature made. He attended Hardee County schools in his younger years, and he was a U.S. Army veterans during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Gibson was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Lee and Hazel Clear Gibson.

He is survived by his loving wife whom he married in 1964, Mrs. Judy Chambers Gibson; son, Timothy Gibson and wife Diane; daughter, Dawn Pfingston and husband Jeff; brother, Bill Gibson; sister, Lois Hancock; grandchildren, Kyra Pfingston and Caleb Pfingston.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 15, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. in the Hancock Funeral Home chapel, 945 E. Broadway, Fort Meade, with a memorial service following at 11:00 a.m.
