William C. Plemon

LAKELAND - Mr. William Carroll "Boom" Plemon, 86, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center of heart failure. Mr. Plemon was born July 31, 1923 in Jonesboro, IL and moved to Lakeland, FL in 1978. He was a Divisional Service Manager for National Cash Register (NCR); a 4 year U.S. Navy Veteran; Longtime Member of Cleveland Heights Golf and Country Club, Lakeland; Lifelong Charter Member of Red Cross, for blood donations. He was of the Lutheran Faith and supported his wife with her worship at of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Lakeland, FL. Mr. Plemon had a natural and great mechanical and analytical mind that offered significant contributions . He was a loyal Greenbay Packer fan, and Christmas was his favorite holiday. His family and friends loved his beautiful singing voice. His family and friends stated that "Boom" had the qualities of having a heroic spirit, honesty, integrity, loyalty, character and a patriot. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Lillian B. Plemon, Lakeland, FL; whom he met in Sydney, Australia during WWII. Diane Victoria Kapla and husband Daniel, Shawno, WI,, his son Michael Thomas Plemon and wife Stacey, Park Falls, WI; daughters, Deborah Kay Ness and significant partner Greg Hartline, Las Vegas, NV, and Theresa Marie Sincoular and husband Todd, Green Bay, WI; Six Grandchildren and Two Great-Grandchildren, Danielle (Ken), Drew (Holly), Jay, Logan, Casey, Aaron, Addison, and Zachary. Mr. Plemon was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Thomas Hugh Plemon, Jr. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Hancock Funeral Home, Fort Meade. 863-285-8171.
