Winifred "Miss Winnie" Leach

FORT MEADE - Winifred Colleen Fore Leach (Miss Winnie), 87, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014 at her home in Fort Meade.  Miss Winnie was born July 25, 1926 in Black Star, Kentucky and moved to Fort Meade from Williamsburg, Kentucky in 1973.   She worked for Peace River Packing as a citrus grader and was a member of First Baptist Church, Fort Meade.  Miss Winnie was well known for making her famous pies, she was an excellent cook, and a mother to many people.  Her home was always open to anyone in need, and Miss Winnie prided herself in being a native resident of Harlan County, Kentucky.             Miss Winnie was preceded in death by her father, Clarence E. Fore; mother, Mossie M. Fore; brother, William D. Fore; daughters, Janet Wilson and Debi Taylor; son, Ernie Radloff, and her husband of 50 years, William Leach.           She is survived by her sons, Mike Leach and wife Gina, Kingsport, TN, Tim Leach and wife Hillary, Hardy, Arkansas; daughters, Judy Hutchens, Peru, IN, Tina Leach, Fort Meade, FL, Christal, Shelly, Ashley, and Leslie all of Bartow, FL; sister, Caroline Smith, Green Valley, Arizona; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.         Visitation will be held 1:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 East Broadway, Fort Meade.  Memorial services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m.             Hancock Funeral Home, Fort Meade, FL  863-285-8171.
