Mrs. Christine Burt

FORT MEADE - Mrs. Christine Burt, 98, passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 in Clearwater, FL. Mrs. Burt was born August 23, 1916 in Defuniak Springs, FL, and was a longtime resident of Fort Meade. She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Lakeland, and worked for over 30 years at Peace River Packing in Fort Meade As a hard working lady, loving mother and wife, Mrs. Burt also worked and cared for her family and her home life, while also caring and guiding many others as a longtime pastor's wife.
Mrs. Burt was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Lester J. Burt.
She is survived by her daughter, Joan Graff and husband Alan, Largo, FL; grand-daughters, Sandy Young and husband Alf and Susan Robson and husband Alan; great-grandchildren, Ryan, David, Kelsey, Elise and Krysta.
Visitation will be held 1:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 East Broadway, Fort Meade. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Joe Parrish officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Meade, FL.
