FORT MEADE - Mrs. Dorothy Ann Smith, 84, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at her home in Fort Meade. Mrs. Smith was born January 29, 1938 in Manatee Co., and has been a resident of Fort Meade for many years. She was a homemaker and loved children and her time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil D. Smith; and her parents, Wilson Wyatt Sapp and Emma Jane Williams Sapp.
She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Spann and Frances Bagley, both of Fort Meade, FL; grandsons, Pete Morawietz, Jr., Steven Spann and Joseph Smith; eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 E. Broadway, Fort Meade, FL. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m., with interment following in New Hope Cemetery, Fort Meade.
