FORT MEADE - Mrs. Joann Waldee Smith, 77, passed away Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015 in Bonita Springs, FL. Joann was born Dec. 9, 1937 in Fort Meade, FL where she was a resident for many years. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church, Fort Meade.
Joann was preceded in death by her husbands, Wesley Waldee, Bob Smith, and James Baker; sister, Edna Mae Baker.
She is survived by her sons, Tony D. Waldee and Cheryl, Fort Myers, FL, and Bruce A. Waldee, Fort Myers, FL; step-sons, Robert Smith, Lindsey Smith, Steve Baker, C.J. Baker; step-daughters, Vivian Langston, Beverly Baker; grandchildren, Angela Lee Keene, Amy Lynn Waldee and Ariana Michelle Waldee; five great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015 at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 E. Broadway, Fort Meade. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015 from the graveside in Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Meade.
