Louise L. Douglas

FORT MEADE - Ms. Louise Lamar Douglas, 82, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, FL. Louise was born January 27, 1941 in Lake Butler, FL and has a resident of Fort Meade for nearly 60 years. She wasa Certified Nursing Assistant and a former local business owner, and of several businesses she owned, Douglas Gulf Station was a longtime asset to Fort Meade.

Louise was preceded in death by her companion of seventeen years, John Vanzant; daughter, Stella Eloise Joiner; sons, Kenneth Anderson and Ricky Anderson; and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Keri Anderson, Fort Meade, FL; brother, Bob Lamar and wife Mary; grandchildren, Ellie Vaughn and husband Steve, Robbie Anderson and wife Betsy, Kenneth Joiner, Karley Anderson, Kinsey Anderson, great-grandchildren, Andrew Kimbrough, Kaylee Vaughn and Stephen Vaughn.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 25, 2023 in the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 945 E. Broadway, Fort Meade, FL.
