FORT MEADE - Sylvia O. Jones, 76, passed away Friday, July 12, 2019 at her home in Fort Meade. Sylvia was born March 10, 1943 in Fort Meade, FL where she remained a lifelong resident as a homemaker, and of the Baptist faith.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Harvey and Addie Mae Rimes Smith; husband Johnny Wayne Jones; and her brother, Jesse Smith.
She is survived by her son, Wayne Jones, and her daughter, Cynthia Gayle Jones, both of Fort Meade, FL; brother, Walter Smith and wife Nell, Fort Meade, FL; sister, Rosita Smith, Eagle Lake, FL; grandchildren, Tyler, Kerrie, and Daniel; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 E. Broadway, Fort Meade. Memorial services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Travis Risner officiating.
